- 19 SaintEdit 1.1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 02-09-1994
- DESC: SaintEdit 1.1.1 - SaintEdit is a System 7, squeaky clean, robust
- KEY: SaintEdit 1.1.1.sit KBytes: 118784
- DESC: general purpose text editor-not a word processor, not a page layout
- DESC: program, not a draw program. Hidden behind the simple and intuitive
- DESC: user interface lies a rather complex program representing years of
- DESC: work. I use it as a snazzy, efficient replacement for Teach Text -
- DESC: Though it doesn't (yet) support graphics, SaintEdit will read any
- DESC: text file and is loaded with features. New features include -
- DESC: Multiple open windows, Memory dependent file size limit (greater
- DESC: than 32K!), Extensive Undo/Redo support, Safe file saving routines,
- DESC: FastScrolls, Drag and Drop any TEXT file, Auto read UNIX and DOS
- 18 Sample Surprint.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 01-27-1993
- DESC: Sample Surprint - Surprint is a printing utility that allows you to
- KEY: Sample Surprint.sit KBytes: 26624
- DESC: overprint a large diagonal banner, a header or a footer on a
- DESC: document printed from nearly any application. The banner, header
- DESC: and footer are printed directly on top of the page(s) being printed
- DESC: by the application. The banner is printed as outlined text using a
- DESC: very thin line so you can easily read through it. It is handy for
- DESC: labeling documents without sending them through the printer twice
- DESC: or hand stamping them. People often use the banner feature to mark
- DESC: words such as Draft, Internal Copy and even Confidential. Also,
- DESC: it's lots of fun to mark a document as DO NOT READ and leave it on
- 17 SampleWill 2 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-29-1987
- DESC: Sample Will text for educational purposes.
- KEY: SampleWill KBytes: 20480
- 16 Scripter 1.0.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: Scripter 1.0 - Scripter is a simple application that you use to
- KEY: Scripter 1.0.sit KBytes: 13312
- DESC: create a PageMaker script to import a whole directory of files
- DESC: automatically. Scripter is a small and simple utility developed for
- DESC: my needs. It does not currently have many bells and whistles. If
- DESC: users express interest and support for Scripter, features will be
- DESC: added to take advantage of system 7 and a better interface for
- DESC: example. I hope Scripter is as useful to you as it is to me. I save
- DESC: hours of placing a directory full of files one at a time every time
- DESC: I use it. Step by step instructions are included.

- 14 Send PostScript.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: Send PostScript - Send PostScript is a BBEdit Extension, which can
- KEY: Send PostScript.sit KBytes: 12288
- DESC: be used with BBEdit 2.2, BBEdit Lite, or BBEdit 2.5. It sends the
- DESC: contents of the front editing (or browser) window as PostScript to
- DESC: a network-connected PostScript printer of your choosing.
- 13 ShalomPad1.05.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-29-1993
- DESC: ShalmPad1.05 - Shalom Pad is a small application for typing Hebrew
- KEY: ShalomPad1.05.sit KBytes: 14336
- DESC: text using Jonathan Brecher’s Shalom fonts. These fonts are
- DESC: distributed as Shareware products. This program was created by
- DESC: making edits to Paul DuBois’s TransSkel, a public domain program
- DESC: shell. See the read me for addresses. Shalom Pad is not a word
- DESC: processor. It is designed for writing short pieces of Hebrew text
- DESC: which can then be copied and pasted into a “real” word processor.
- DESC: It also can be used for sending strange backwards messages to
- DESC: people.
- DESC:
- 12 ShawBerry.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 02-16-1993
- DESC: ShawBerry - ShawBerry does this it merges text from one file into
- KEY: ShawBerry.sit KBytes: 27648
- DESC: another at the insertion points you specify. You tell it which file
- DESC: to amend and which file to take the amendments from. You can control
- DESC: whether or not the insertion point text is retained or omitted,
- DESC: whether searchable marks are inserted before and after the amendment
- DESC: text, and whether or not the amendment is followed by a carriage
- DESC: return.
- 11 Sign of Four.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-15-1993
- DESC: Sign of Four - This is a complete ASCII text file of "The Sign of
- KEY: Sign of Four.sit KBytes: 105472
- DESC: Four" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is a classic Sherlock Holmes
- DESC: Mystery.
- DESC:
- 10 Sliced bread ƒ.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-15-1993
- DESC: Sliced bread - This is a text file which looks at replacing the
- KEY: Sliced bread ƒ.sit KBytes: 14336
- DESC: mouse on Non-ADB Macs (128k - Plus) and other Computers. The first
- DESC: part covers an electronic circuit to emulate a mouse and a second
- DESC: section looks at a couple of other devices and ideas.
- 9 Sort Lines 2.00.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: Sort Lines 2.00 - “Sort Lines Ext” is a BBEdit extension which will
- KEY: Sort Lines 2.00.sit KBytes: 8192
- DESC: sort lines in a text file. The extension should work with BBEdit
- DESC: versions 2.1 and higher. To install, place the “Sort Lines Ext”
- DESC: file into the “BBEdit Extensions” folder. To use the extension,
- DESC: select the lines you want sorted and then choose “Sort Lines…” from
- DESC: the Extensions menu. There are three ways to sort the selection -
- DESC: whole lines, character columns, or tab-delimited columns. In each
- DESC: case, you may also check the “Descending order” checkbox which will
- DESC: reverse the sort order.

- 8 Speaker1.12.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-10-1993
- DESC: Speaker1.12 - With the availability of Speech Manager 3.0, I found
- KEY: Speaker1.12.sit KBytes: 23552
- DESC: few application which could take advantage of it. Since none are
- DESC: currently readily available, I decided to make my own! Speaker 1.0
- DESC: is a no-frills text editor, with speech capabilities, which works
- DESC: with TEXT files. Speaker will NOT work without Apple's Speech
- DESC: Manager. If you were looking for a program which can read you text
- DESC: files to you, you've found it. Choose from many different voices!
- DESC: Speaker lets you speak your files by line or file and you can
- DESC: change Voice, Pitch, and Rate of the voices! The voices are (or will
- DESC: be) commercially available through Apple, as MacinTalk Pro.
- 5 Split.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 05-14-1993
- DESC: Split - Split is a program which performs the reverse of a text
- KEY: Split.sit KBytes: 28672
- DESC: concatenation program; it splits huge text files up into more
- DESC: manageable chunks, saving the chunks as new text files whose names
- DESC: start with the original file name, followed by a numerical value
- DESC: which numbers the text files in order (so you can put them back
- DESC: together in order). The original file is NOT deleted, so this is
- DESC: probably an extremely safe program. To run Split just start it up,
- DESC: mouse click once to make the start-up screen go away, then hit the
- DESC: button marked "Split". The program will then put up a standard
- DESC: file-selection dialog box. Select the file you want to split up and
- 4 Strip LFs 2.0.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 07-28-1993
- DESC: Strip LFs 2.0 - This little goodie is a drop program for removing
- KEY: Strip LFs 2.0.sit KBytes: 12288
- DESC: line feeds. I have found that most programs that remove line feeds
- DESC: have a tendency to screw up. Therefore, I wrote my own. Also, most
- DESC: programs just don’t know how to deal with Unix line feeds, but this
- DESC: one does. In version 2.0 I added the new feature of restoring line
- DESC: feeds. Since I was using PCs at the time, I really needed to move
- DESC: both ways. To add line feeds to a file you simply have to hold down
- DESC: the option key during launch. As an added feature, you may add Unix
- DESC: style line feeds by holding down the control key instead.

- 3 STTNGScript.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-16-1992
- DESC: STTNGScript - I’ve decided to put together this little collection of
- KEY: STTNGScript.sit KBytes: 30720
- DESC: goodies I requested from Paramount Pictures in Hollywood in the
- DESC: hopes that other aspiring writers for “Star Trek The Next
- DESC: Generation” will be able to know how to properly submit their
- DESC: script ideas. Take note that your chances of getting a script made
- DESC: into an episode of STTNG are about as good as winning the lottery;
- DESC: bear that in mind before you spend hours molding together a script
- DESC: that in actuality has little or no chance of making the grade.

- 2 Style 1.2.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-10-1993
- DESC: Style 1.2.1 - Style is a simple application that lets you create,
- KEY: Style 1.2.1.sit KBytes: 120832
- DESC: edit and print styled text documents. Like TeachText and many other
- DESC: applications, Style’s text engine is TextEdit, the software library
- DESC: built in the Macintosh ROMs. As a result, Style can only handle
- DESC: small documents (up to about 32,000 bytes), but it’s more powerful
- DESC: than TeachText in many ways. Some Features - Easily accessible
- DESC: Font, Size, Style and Color; Multi-window editor; Import/Export
- DESC: capability; Can create stand-alone documents; Support for inline
- DESC: input (Inline input is a facility available in double-byte script
- DESC: systems like Japanese); Support for stationery pads, balloon help
